The design of this research is a qualitative-research with a focus on understanding the phenomena experienced by the research subject, such as behavior, perception, motivation, action, etc., as a whole and explicitly using various scientific methods in the natural environment. Data collection techniques use interviews, documentation and observation with data analysis techniques using inductive data analysis. Checking the validity of data using credibility or trust and data triangulation. This research was conducted in 3 schools out of 28 Vocational High Schools in Tanggamus Regency, namely SMKN 1 East Kotaagung, SMK Muhamaddiyah Kota Agung, SMK Muhammadiyah Gisting. This study highlights significant challenges in adjusting the competencies of vocational school graduates to the needs of the labor market. The low absorption rate of graduates shows that there is a gap between the skills taught in schools and the real needs of the industry. Although there has been cooperation between the Special Job Exchange (BKK) and the Business World/Industrial World (DU/DI), there are still factors that affect the absorption rate of graduates, such as the lack of curriculum relevance and limited practical skills training. Using a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis, the research involved teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. The findings indicate that the principal’s leadership style has a significant effect on teacher performance, and school culture also contributes significantly to improving teacher performance. Simultaneously, both independent variables account for 53.3% of the variance in teacher performance, demonstrating that leadership style and school culture are essential factors in enhancing the quality of educators. These results highlight that effective leadership and a positive school culture can foster a supportive working environment, increase motivation, and strengthen teachers’ professional commitment in fulfilling their responsibilities.</p> Moh. The study aims to find and to describe the planning process for implementing paperless management through Google Forms for summative test, to find and to describe effective implementation methods, then to find and to describe the factors causing the less effective implementation of paperless management through Google Forms for summative test. The research method was descriptive qualitative. Data collection used primary data sources consisting of 20 students at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gisting who were selected randomly as informants, while secondary data sources were obtained from paperless-based summative test scores through Google Form. The research instruments used observation sheets and interview guidelines. Testing the validity of the data used triangulation techniques or methods in this research. The descriptive analysis is based on the interactive analysis model of Milles and Huberman. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with observation and interview approaches. Research data collection uses observation sheets, documentation and interview guidelines. The subject of this study is a member of the elementary school teacher learning community in Cukuh Blak District. The data analysis technique uses the interpretation of interview results. The results of the study show that the role of teachers in planning activities in the learning community is able to make learning plans and literacy activities together in the learning community. The role of teachers in carrying out activities as planned is able to carry out interesting learning activities, use learning media in schools, and collaborate together. The role of teachers in evaluating activities by reflecting on activities that have been good will be continued and activities that have not been good will be improved. Weaknesses in school management, particularly in the management of facilities, infrastructure, and human resources, often become major obstacles to improving educational quality. This study aims to analyze the role of principal leadership in enhancing educational quality and to identify its impact on teacher performance and school management. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, vice principal, and teachers at a Madrasah Aliyah in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that improvements in school quality are strongly influenced by visionary and participatory principal leadership. Supervision, guidance, and continuous support provided by the principal contribute positively to the enhancement of instructional administration and teaching resource quality. However, the optimization of facilities, infrastructure, and extracurricular activities has not yet been fully achieved. Biology labs play an important role in science education, providing opportunities for students to apply theories learned in the classroom through hands-on practice. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive approach, involving interviews, observations, and document analysis to collect data from various sources, including principals, educators, and students. The results of the study show that in the context dimension, the laboratory has been designed in accordance with the curriculum and learning needs of students, supported by relevant school policies. In the input dimension, laboratory facilities and the qualifications of educators are generally adequate, although there are shortcomings in the educational background of laboratory personnel and the availability of modern equipment. In the process dimension, the planning and implementation of laboratory activities follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) well, although there is a need for improvement in documentation and evaluation. In the product dimension, the laboratory has a positive impact on practicum skills, concept understanding, and student learning outcomes, which is reflected in user satisfaction with the facility. Although the overall management of the laboratory is quite good, the study identified several things that need to be improved, such as training for laboratory personnel and a more structured evaluation system. Effective and efficient management of education financing is very important in supporting the continuity and quality of education in Islamic educational institutions, including Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data was obtained through in-depth interviews with pesantren managers, administrative staff, and several students, as well as direct observation in the pesantren environment. The results of the study show that the Insan Mulia Islamic Boarding School implements various sources of financing, such as private funds from the pesantren, donations from students' parents, and the participation of the surrounding community. However, there are still challenges in financing management that include limited funds, suboptimal financial planning, and dependence on external donations. This study suggests the need to strengthen a more transparent and accountable financial planning and management system, as well as diversify financing sources to support the sustainability of quality education.</p> Septianis Frishentina Copyright (c) 2026 JMPA (Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Al-Multazam) 2025-12-31 2025-12-31 7 3 276 286 PEMANFAATAN PLATFORM MERDEKA MENGAJAR (PMM) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI GURU https://www.jmpa.stitmultazam.ac.id/index.php/jmpa/article/view/131 <p>The utilization of the Merdeka Mengajar platform in supporting the professionalism of elementary school teachers is a study aimed at analyzing how this digital platform can support the development of educators' competencies, particularly in addressing the challenges of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. This research is motivated by the urgent need for self-paced training for teachers, the development of learning communities, and an effective performance management system. In this context, the main challenge faced by teachers is adapting to the curriculum changes, which require new skills in both designing lessons and managing more flexible teaching and learning processes. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at SD Negeri 1 Sumber Mulya. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with the school principal, teachers, and Merdeka Mengajar platform coordinators, participatory observations in classrooms, and documentation of platform usage activities. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study reveal three key themes. First, the self-paced training features of the Merdeka Mengajar platform have made a positive contribution to enhancing teachers' competencies, as evidenced by the large number of teachers who have completed training modules and received certificates of completion for specific topics. However, challenges such as limited accessibility and the complexity of the training material still hinder some teachers. Second, both the virtual learning community on the platform and the in-school learning community at SD Negeri 1 Sumber Mulya, known as the Kombel Surya (Sumber Mulya Learning Community), have successfully created a productive discussion space among teachers, with noticeable improvements in interaction levels. Third, the performance management system within the platform shows a positive correlation between the training undertaken and the improvements in lesson quality and teaching methods applied by the teachers. The implications of this research suggest that the Merdeka Mengajar platform has significant potential to transform the professional development of teachers. However, continuous improvements are needed, including enhancing accessibility, enriching the training content, and strengthening the feedback mechanisms. NEGERI 1 TANGGAMUS MODEL CIPP (CONTEXT, INPUT, PROCESS, AND PRODUCT) https://www.jmpa.stitmultazam.ac.id/index.php/jmpa/article/view/132 <p>This study aims to find out and describe the effectiveness of the implementation of excellent class program of&nbsp; MTs Negeri 1 Tanggamus&nbsp; through the evaluation of the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, and Product).&nbsp; This research is an evaluation research using a qualitative approach.&nbsp; The data in the study were obtained from research informants, namely the headmaster, vice headmaster, teachers,&nbsp; and students. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the research show that: 1) the context evaluation shows that MTsN 1 Tanggamus has succesfully met the needs of better education for excellent students, in accordance with community expectations and support the improvement of the quality of education in Tanggamus. 2) Input evaluation are designed and implemented with high standards, starting from the student recruitment process, the quality of educators, program management, to the available facilities and infrastructure. 3) the process evaluation shows that the planning, implementation, and supervision of this programme has been carried out effectively and comprehensively to support the development of students' academic and non-academic potential, 4) the Product evaluation shows that the cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes of students of the excellent class programme show excellent results. The main focus of this research is on planning, implementation, evaluation and challenges faced in running the Al-Qur'an Hafidz program.&nbsp; The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research results show that program planning involves preparing a curriculum based on memorization targets, forming a competent teaching team, and setting an intensive schedule. The program is implemented through the methods of talaqqi, muraja'ah and routine motivation. Program evaluation is carried out periodically through rote exams and monitoring the development of students. The challenges faced include differences in student abilities, limited facilities, and the need for further training for teachers. Overall, the Management of the Al-Qur'an Hafidz Program at the Tahfidz Hidayatul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School has been going well, but needs strengthening in the aspects of learning resources and innovation. Literacy is an essential skill in the globalization era; however, data indicate that literacy interest among students in this madrasah remains low, with average scores falling below standards across various indicators. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis related to literacy programs. The findings revealed that the implemented strategies included need-based planning, interactive program implementation, and periodic evaluations to measure success. The results also indicated an increase in student participation in literacy activities through innovations such as reading corners, integrating literacy with digital technology, and active support from teachers and parents. It focuses on efforts to build effective supervision cultures, address challenges, and assess the impact on teacher engagement. The research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed using triangulation techniques to enhance validity. The findings reveal that principals utilize structured supervision strategies involving planning, execution, and follow-up to improve teacher performance. Challenges, such as limited resources and low teacher self-efficacy, are addressed through stakeholder involvement and competency development programs. The implementation of academic supervision successfully enhances teacher participation, fosters collaboration, and supports innovative teaching practices.
